You are witnesses, and so is God, how devoutly and uprightly and blamelessly we behaved toward you believers; just as you know how we were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you as a father would his own children, so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.
1 Thessalonians 2:10-12
Paul here is showing an example of his work of faith. Paul did all of this beacause of the amount of faith he had so that the Thessalonians would walk in a manner worthy of God. His behavior towards believers was devoutly, uprightly, and blamelessly, and he exhorted, encouraged, and implored like a father.
As Christians we need to walk in a manner worthy of God, and do, just as Paul did, what is needed for other Christians, so that they might walk in a manner worthy of God.
